Half Pint began singing in the choir at All Saints’ Primary School and on completing his secondary education in 1976, he made a head-on thrust into Jamaica’s music industry. Pint toured the island with various sound systems including Black Scorpio, Jammy’s, Gemini, Lee’s Unlimited and Killimanjaro. He earned respect as a talented vocalist and a reputation as a fine performer. Lindon Roberts was sought out by and subsequently worked with many of the Islands top producers including; Sly and Robbie, Prince (King) Jammy, Bobby ‘Digital’ Dixon, the rhythm twins, Jack Scorpio, and Mass Hugh, to name but a few. He also lent his vocal talents to recordings by his peers; Garnett Silk, Tony Rebel and The Tamlins among many others.Pint’s first single, ‘Sally’ was released in 1983 to great acclaim, followed by ‘Winsome’, an anthem of the day. He continued to bombard the local and international Reggae scenes with a slew of hits, including the much loved ‘Greetings’, ‘Mr. Landlord’, ‘Level the Vibes’, ‘Substitute Love’ and the massive chart topper ‘Victory’. Besides hit singles, Roberts delivered an impressive cache of albums, most of which are still much in demand worldwide.
