Arcade Fire's third studio album The Suburbs was released on Monday (2nd August) to worldwide acclaim. The Canadian band also played two shows at New York's Madison Square Garden this week, with a simultaneous stream directed by filmmaker Terry Gilliam broadcast on YouTube.

Playing an intimate gig at London's Hackney Empire last month, Arcade Fire garnered rave reviews ahead of their headline slot at Reading and Leeds later this month.

Tickets for the Glasgow show will be on sale at 9am on Friday 13th August online and from usual outlets.

Arcade Fire are Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, William Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Jeremy Gara.
