Nimmo Brothers acoustic

SATURDAY 25TH MAY 2013
7.00 p.m. - 10.30 p.m.
After almost 17 years of working together, and with both Stevie and Alan currently enjoying successful solo projects, one perhaps wouldn’t be wrong in surmising that the best days of The Nimmo Brothers as a band were well and truly behind them – but then one would also be well and truly mistaken!
Once again The Nimmo Brothers are out to show the world that the term “taking it easy” simply doesn’t exist in the vocabulary of one of Scotland’s finest exports since the great Frankie Miller and a couple of slightly more famous brothers named Young!
So, with Alan in full promotional mode with his band King King and Stevie clocking up the miles touring in support of his own solo project, when a break in their busy schedules does finally make an appearance, what do The Nimmo Brothers do? Simple - they get back on the road and put on some acoustic shows together to fill in the gaps!
After the success of their sell-out show at the Cottier theatre in Glasgow last autumn, they have decided to once again put the amps on stand-by for a series of acoustic shows showcasing the other, more vulnerable side to their already impressive repertoire.
Songwriting might not necessarily be the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about The Nimmo Brothers. However, after experiencing one of these all too rare, up close and personal performances, that just might be about to change!
