Minnesotan alt-country band Trampled By Turtles come to the Arches on Monday 3rd June 2013.

Experimenting with old fiddle, traditional folk and bluegrass songs as a break from their rock bands, five Minnesotan friends soon found themselves fascinated by the instruments and traditions people had used for centuries to express their lives. Years of listening to Dylan, the Rolling Stones and Nirvana and a modern approach naturally gave birth to a rousing, thoroughly unique sound, between punk-tempo bluegrass and country.

After ten years of prolific touring – and five albums, including last year’s more contemplative Stars And Satellites – the stage, rather than the studio, remains their spiritual home, and the best place to witness the energy they exude playing together.
