Sounds In The Suburbs present...
Police Dog Hogan
FRIDAY 12TH DECEMBER 2014
And so a great year of music comes to a close. This Friday at the CCA in Sauchiehall Street or the Third Eye Centre for those of a more mature vintage, a night of unrestrained musical fun with the now eight piece Police Dog Hogan, plus for you Guardian and Tim Dowling fans a chance to come and get a signed copy of his new book, How to be a husband, with Tim doing a book signing between 5-6pm at Café Saramango in the CCA. Also the café is a great place for a pre gig meal too
Anyway this will be a fabulous night of music with the Police Dogs and not to be missed.
And there will be tea towels for sale too, Xmas sorted!!
With 8 members in the full line-up and instruments including guitar, accordion, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and trumpet, Police Dog Hogan draw their influences from many different wells. You could call it Americana, country-folk, folk-pop or even urban bluegrass, but it’s difficult to do justice to the sheer range of styles this band is willing to take on and, if necessary, transform.
“Police Dog Hogan were good – actually, they were excellent.” The Sunday Times
“One of my bands to watch – great songs, great musicians, and their live shows are really, really good fun.” DJ Johnnie Walker
“Police Dog Hogan – with Bellowhead – were the highlight of the Larmer Tree Festival 2011.” BBC Radio 2
