The Scottish Music Show is the first show of it's kind. A trade show for all types of music with the biggest names in the industry along with music shops from throughout Scotland. What makes this show different from the rest is the public interaction and participation. We have two open stages set up with a professional film crew and photographers to take promotional pictures and make invaluable web videos for all the performers and bands who come and play a set. Stage 1 is the Ultimate Solo Set Up stage, a stage designed for solo singer song writers. This stage has what we believe to be the best gear in the business for solo performers. With names such as Lowden Guitars and LR Baggs in the set up, we want performers to come along and try out the gear, sing or play a tune and get professional photos taken. The stage is set up with a back drop and lighting rig to make your promo photo's look the business. Stage 2 will also run all weekend and has professional film crew, "Trahenna" on site to make an edited web video of the highest quality for you or your band, an absolute must for band's port folios, websites and social media. All this is included in a standard ticket for the show, so book your spot now as space is limited. We are also running a mentoring programme for young musicians, event organisers, film makers and journalists. We have a full range of industry experts, record labels, funders, publishers etc; onsite to answer questions and offer support. The mentoring programme will run for a year and will stage four Scottish Music Show fundraising events, organised by the youngsters themselves utilising Music Events Clydesdale's equipment and knowhow. There will be performances from some of the country's most prolific songwriters and acclaimed live acts plus master classes, demonstrations and a bundle of prizes to be won. We are also staging a nationwide High School Battle of the Band's competition with a recording studio package up for grabs. (see website for details) Access to the show and both open stages is included in a daytime ticket for only £5. There are various ticket options for main evening attractions plus an, "Access All Areas" VIP weekend pass. Please visit the website for full details at www.thescottishmusicshow.com
