Fresh from wowing audiences on a series of European festival dates and the xx’s Night + Day festival, American indie pop act Poliça play the Arches on Friday 7th February as part of their biggest headline tour to date.

Founded by vocalist Channy Leaneagh and producer Ryan Olson in 2011, the R&B-influenced Minnesotan synth pop act made their live UK debut in June last year, playing two packed nights at the tiny CAMP Basement in London. A year later, they were playing a triumphant sold out show at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Their latest single Chain My Name, a flurry of metallic synths and synth-pop ambience topped with Channy’s warped vocals, was premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as his Hottest Record In The World and quickly shot to the top of the Hype Machine chart.

The band will be releasing their eagerly anticipated second album, Shulamith, on October 21st on the Memphis Industries label.
